Peer Review Process

Research submitted for publication in the journal passes the following arbitration procedures:

  1. Research must be sent in the journal e-mail: alex.esps.joural@esps.alexu.edu.eg  fesps_dean@yahoo.com
  2. The research is presented to the editorial board to conduct a preliminary examination of the structural, methodological and linguistic content, taking into account considerations of integrity and scientific authenticity, and then determining the eligibility of the research for arbitration or requesting amendments, or rejecting the research.
  3. When the research meets the basic requirements of the journal, two arbitrators -at least one of them is from outside Alexandria University- will be identified to examine the research.
  4. All data of the researcher -name, specialization, work destination, e-mail, etc.- are removed from the research, and then sent to both arbitrators identified by the editorial board to examine the research and fill out the arbitration form. Both arbitrators Write a separate report to clarify the research's worthiness for publication and the amendments that it may deem necessary.
  5. The arbitrators' reports are submitted to the editorial board to decide whether to publish in light of the following:
  •  In case that both arbitrators acknowledge the validity of the research in its condition without the need for amendments, the editorial board grants the researcher a letter of acceptance for publication signed by the editor-in-chief specifying the issue of the journal to which the research will  be published in and its date of publishing. the editorial board sends the research to the technical committee for adding the research in line with the template in preparation for publishing it online on the journal’s website, and in a hard copy by printing it at Alexandria University Press.
  • In case that both or one of the two arbitrators requested modifications to the research, the editorial board sends a list of the required amendments to the researcher to modify the research and send the modified copy to the journal's e-mail to be presented once again to the editorial board to confirm that the researcher commitment to the amendments and then complete the publishing according to the aforementioned procedures , or return it to the researcher to complete the deficiencies that the committee may consider.
  • In case that one of the arbitrators acknowledged that the research is valid while the other admitted that it was not valid, the editorial board would appoint a third arbitrator to examine it. And if the research approved by the third arbitrator, the editorial board would take the above-mentioned publication procedures.
  • In case that both arbitrators concluded that the research is not valid for scientific publication, the editorial board will send a letter to the researcher signed by the editor-in-chief stating the journal's apology for not publishing the research.
  • In all cases, at least two arbitrators must confirm the validity of the research for publication, and the researcher must modify all the language, formal, and methodological adjustments required by the arbitrators and the editorial board.
