Managing the transitional phase between the actors’ strategies and the challenges of reality. An evaluation study of the experience of the Arab Spring countries
The issue of managing transitions in countries that are going through stages of changes, transformations and revolutions has not received as much attention as topics and areas related to situations of stability and political, institutional and social stagnation. This has had an impact on the actual performance of Arab countries that have gone through these processes and transitions. This was particularly evident in the management of the transitional period in the Arab countries, which have witnessed huge political revolutions and conflicts since 2011, where they were traditionally called the Arab Spring countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria. After the former regime leaders relinquished power, a transitional phase was inaugurated that lasted from two to three years, according to each of the previous cases. Then things took different and sometimes contradictory paths, some of which tended to stabilize, while others continued to be unstable and amounted to civil wars. This study focuses on the experience of the transition phase, which was launched during the period between 2011 and 2014 as a period characterized by rapid changes and transformations in the context of a short transition period of time.
