The role of the League of Arab States in managing the Syrian crisis in light of the Arab Spring revolutions (2011-2018)

Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the role of the Arab League in managing the Syrian crisis. The study used the inductive method, "and the main research tool here is observation, and then extrapolate the political reality in the study period to provide objective judgment on the role of the Arab League.
As for the role of the Arab League towards the Syrian crisis, the Syrian crisis proved the limited role of the Arab League in managing the Syrian crisis. It also revealed the weakness of the Arab regional system, which contributed to turning it into a regional and international crisis. All in all, the positions of the Arab League clearly revealed the weakness of solidarity and the lack of Arab consensus on the management of Arab crises.
