Abstract

After the outbreak of several Arab popular uprisings in the past decade, many internal conflicts have emerged on the Arab scene, exacerbated by rising expectations in light of the limited democratic experience of Arab societies. Hence, this study seeks to develop a comprehensive theoretical vision on the management of internal conflicts during the democratic transition to understand their nature and patterns. The most important indicators used in measuring the severity of internal conflicts and theoretical entries related to the interpretation of internal conflicts, such as psychological entry, social entrance and identity entrance. Highlight the evolution of theoretical efforts on conflict management and peace studies. The study also provides a clear theoretical framework for the management of internal conflicts in light of the scarcity of Arab studies on this subject.
