Russian intervention in Syria: motives and consequences

Abstract

This study title is” the Russian intervention in Syria: Motives and outcomes .it focused on the role of the Russia as an international player identifying the reasons, determinants and interests of Russian intervention and the impact on the shift in the balance of power over the Syrian crisis from the perspective of international relations.
The Russian intervention came also to emphasize the new role played by Russia in the international arena as an influential international force in international relations and a rival to the United States of America and preserve Russian influence in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea.
In conclusion, the study explained that Russia achieved more than it wanted from its military intervention in Syria.
