Environmental issues and their impact on international relations in the post-Cold War world 1991-2020

Abstract

The study aims to identify the impact of environmental issues on international relations in the post-Cold War world, through three axes; The first is a theoretical and conceptual framework for environmental issues, the second axis is the impact of environmental issues on international relations, and the third axis presents environmental issues in the  light of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), and the study concluded that environmental issues are among the most prominent topics that appeared on the international scene in the post- Cold war world, which are global issues of the first degree, some of them can only be remedied and addressed through international relations because of the impact of these issues on all the inhabitants of the planet, whether caused or not causing of  these problems, the Corona pandemic gives us a lesson that environmental issues and problems are not impossible or It is impossible to solve if all people and countries reconsider the methods of production, consumption and dealing with the natural environment.
