Abstract

The qualitative shift in the field of security studies contributed through critical discussions of the concept of security, which at least shifted the level of analysis from states to the individual. At the time, a theoretical approach to human security began to take shape at the academic and official levels, as opposed to security in the traditional perspective, which focuses on protecting the borders of the state, but what globalization has produced from international and global challenges has prevailed over the traditional concept of security in security studies and there has become a necessary need to devote the concept of security through the United Nations, through the Security Council, to maintain international peace and security.
