In the aftermath of the October War of 1973, the late Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat began to promote the policies of economic openness, through his speeches, promising Egyptians to improve their standard of living, trying to throw economic failure on Nasserist socialism, which was adopted by his predecessor, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Egypt began to conduct open policies that adopted attracting more foreign investments, especially with the Arab Gulf states, and therefore; This research aims to: Find out what is the impact of economic openness on the political economy in Egypt in the period from 1970 to 1981, by identifying and monitoring the effects of economic openness on Egyptian economic growth in this period, identifying the reality of the Egyptian economy and what are its most important overall indicators, and identifying On the pros and cons of economic openness to Egypt, the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical method as well as the historical method.
