Abstract

China, the United States of America, and the European Union are interested in the (Indo-Pacific) region because of its strategic importance. China aims for regional hegemony to enhance its security and aspiration for global hegemony, and this requires hegemony over the (Indo-Pacific) region, while the United States seeks to contain China's strength and stay in global leadership, and this requires extending its hegemony also to the (Indo-Pacific) region.
The European Union seeks to implement its policies - within the framework of regional integration - with the aim of softly extending European influence in the southern hemisphere. Does that region represent a "trap for the Third World War"? Especially with the spread of the Corona virus as a catalyst for a new world order centered around the (Indo-Pacific) region - which has become the new geopolitical and economic center in the twenty-first century, as well as the recent tensions in the South China Sea and the revival of tensions between the United States and China, which may portend Attempts to reshape the geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific region from the three aforementioned forces, which may affect the stability of the world order or lead to a new cold war between the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China, which calls for research into the future of the stability of the (Indo-Pacific) and its repercussions on the global political system.
