Abstract

In light of the US-Chinese strategic struggle over hegemony in the international arena, and in the context of the United States working to maintain its position as the sole dominant country in the international arena, and against the backdrop of The rise of China - which successive US administrations consider a serious strategic threat to the United States and a Chinese attempt to remove it from the position of the dominant country, considering China a revisionist state that seeks to amend the arrangement of the scale of power In the international context, in accordance with its interests and ending American hegemony - this study means with the successive and different American strategies adopted by the United States to limit the rise of China and curb it to ensure the continuation of American supremacy and maintain China's deprivation of any competitive advantage with the United States, and thus ensuring that the arrangement of the ladder of power remains in the international order in the way it maintains American hegemony, as well as in a way that ensures the removal of the main strategic competitors.
As of the time of writing these lines, the United States of America is successful in achieving its goals, and this is despite the continued rise of China, and also despite the fact that China is the second largest creditor to the United States, and the trade balance between the United States and China continues to achieve a large surplus in favor of China.
Despite this, the United States is still the largest economy in the world, and the US defense budget exceeds the defense budget of the next five countries combined, and the United States is the country that is politically and diplomatically superior and manages the international system in a way that achieves its goals and in accordance with its national interests, in international organizations, political harassment from revisionist countries does not prevent the United States from imposing its will and achieving its interests most of the time, so we can say that the United States is very successful – despite the various pressures from the revisionist states - to maintain its position as the sole dominant state in the international arena.
