The research provides an analysis of the challenges and opportunities Egypt faced in its endeavor to become an active player on the international environmental stage, as well as evaluating the key strategies and initiatives implemented.
Throughout the specified period, Egypt heavily focused on issues such as climate change, water resource conservation, and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of regional and international cooperation. The study illustrates how Egypt leveraged platforms like the Conference of the Parties (COP) to promote its stance and advocate for African interests in global climate negotiations.
Egypt encountered significant challenges, including the need to balance economic development with environmental conservation and securing international funding for environmental projects. However, Egypt achieved notable successes such as improving its water resource management and increasing its investments in renewable energy.
The study concludes with recommendations emphasizing the continued need to enhance Egypt's environmental diplomatic capabilities and the importance of bolstering international and regional cooperation to address shared environmental challenges.
